I can now reveal the secret project I was working on this weekend

Its a web page that you can use to make simple pony skins easily:

http://www.minelittl.../ponymaker.html

Only tested in Firefox and Google Chrome.

Hopefully some people here will find it useful.

Wow.
You never disappoint.
This will save so much time testing the skin in Minecraft!

Thanks for this, Verdana!

It doesn't work very well offline (mostly because of the ways different web browsers handle canvases). I zipped up the current files and tested, as far as I can tell it mostly works in Firefox when you rin it locally but the "Download skin" button at the end doesn't work. You can still get the skin, just right click it and "Save image as". This won't work offline in Chrome at all, but if you use Firefox you can give it a whirl:

[Edit]

Yes, I probably wouldn't have made it if Bullpockey and others hadn't asked for it ;)

A random button should be pretty easy and fun to add so I'll do it when I get chance.

I have a suggestion, maybe you could work with the people who made Skincraft to make a full texture creator. If you did that people could fully customize the skins, maybe even talk to generalzoi about using her pony creator. It would probably be a lot of coding but if the three of you worked together with a bunch of artists (both pony and skin) you could probably make a very well made skin creator that could even use the pony creator skins as a base.

Great job~
I feel guilty about asking (I hope it doesn't sound demanding, that wouldn't be my intention), you've already made a great work, but would it be a problem, to make an upload option? I mean, I'm currently designing my own skin (and I prefer to use graphic program for it, it offers more options such as heterochromic eyes) but I'd like to see how it computes without necessity of re-uploading the skin to minecraft.net every pixel change I make. I hope it's not discouraging, as I've said your work is already heart warming, but it'd be huge relief for people who would like to preview their custom skins..

Amazing Skin Creator! It's very easy! =D
Just a suggestion: maybe you could place pictures with it? Because sometimes when I'm choosing a hairstyle, I don't know anymore how the hairstyle looked like.

One thing I would really like would be a way to allow you to preview a skin that you made outside of the program, whether through a link to a png image or an upload of a png file. At this point in time, I'm currently creating a skin that requires more than one solid colour to the horn and ears(examples of this would be stuff like stripes, piercings, etc). Unfortunately, I am unable to login to Minecraft.net at this time due to having just bought Cobalt, so I can't change my skin. A way to preview a skin without constantly logging in and out of minecraft would be a welcome feature in my book.

i think should give people the abilty to color each single pixel if they want...but if you can't thats fine it would just help out some people that are wanting to make more complex one

Please try a different web browser. I only tested it in firefox and chrome, and some people have been reporting odd problems even in the latest version of firefox. If you are using one of thise, try the other. If you aren't using one of those, try one.

I probably won't be adding skin preview or full skin editing functionality to this because something better is coming along very soon, MCSkin3D are adding Mine Little Pony models and skin editing:

https://www.facebook...227232704017686

I'm pretty excited that a great looking skin editor like this will have full support for Mine Little Pony, I'll let you all know when they release :)

Easier solution: don't use Internet Explorer!
